Yelp! Review: Yummy Cupcakes in Burbank
I get it. Cupcakes are hot right now. Everyone is running around in the streets screaming “OMG! Have you had cupcakes?”
Yes. I’ve had cupcakes. I’m 32.
But there’s all these TV shows and stuff, and everyone baking like there’s no tomorrow. So I wanted to see what the fuss was about. Here’s a spoiler alert: it’s about cupcakes,
If you’re like me, you assumed that “cupcake” was code for some kind of contraband. Because how can a place sell enough cupcakes to stay open. They have to be cooking meth or something back there. Turns out they aren’t. Just cupcakes.
This place smells so good. It’s like they make the sugar into air. Or they use cotton candy for their air conditioning filter. All my friends and I got diabetes just from walking around for a minute. Just kidding. But it smells tippy tops in here.
There’s so many choices, and they all rule. I’ve had the lemon bar cupcake, the sugar cookie cupcake, the vanilla and chocolate cupcakes, a red velvet cupcake, and more. They’re all amazing.
Sure, three dollars per cupcake is high. But these things are big and awesome. And there’s two cute girls in there working who are cool and put up with my jokes. They probably think I’m creepy now because I’m talking about them. And you probably think I’m creepy for mentioning that I’m mentioning them.
But seriously, these cupcakes rule. Why are you reading this? It’s a Fu*king cupcake. You’re actually researching and scouting out a cupcake place? Get a grip, man. Just go get one. They’re awesome.
And I don’t care how stupid or girly I look eating them. I put my pinky up like I’m fancy. You can’t look hard eating a cup of cake anyway. So just embrace the daintiness.
Oh, and I haven’t tried this but they make something called a cupcake in a jar - like four layers of cupcake, frosting, cupcake, frosting, cupcake, frosting. Oh man. I can’t wait to break up with my girlfriend and curl up in the bathtub with one of those while I sob myself to sleep.
